Why do these photos cost more than one hour photo prints at Wal-Mart or CVS?
In this age of digital innovation, more and more people are owning “professional equipment”. However, owning the hammer doesn't make you a carpenter. In other words, it's not the camera, but the photographer behind the camera. My photos cost more because you are paying for time and talent. As a professional photographer, I work hard to bring you the best quality image. What does this mean? It means I have spent the past few years of my life obtaining experience, training and professional equipment. I spend countless hours correcting and enhancing your images, and when I am not working hard in that arena, you can bet I am out in the field trying new techniques or spending one on one time with my numerous equine and pet subjects. It is my feeling that being an equine and pet photographer is about more than photographic skill—it is also about knowing your subjects. If I am working with you, you can bet that I have either spent a large amount of time in the same field or I have extensively researched it beforehand.
Do you have other print sizes?
If you need a special print size, email me for pricing. We can certainly work something out!
I bought this photo, so that means I own the rights?
This is a common misconception and you actually do not own the rights to the photos. The photographer always owns the rights and controls usage of the image. Just because a print or copy is purchased, it only means you have limited rights to use the photo for personal purposes, unless otherwise permitted by the photographer who took the image.
Under US and International Copyright Law, it is illegal to reproduce a print or digital file unless authorized by the photographer, so please make sure you ask the photographer before you place your image online, in a publication, or make copies.
