Amy Flood is a full time freelance photographer based in the Piedmont/Triad of North Carolina. She has been riding horses since before she can remember and over the years has taken lessons in both English (eventing) and Western (reining) - she also has a working knowledge of a number of other equine disciplines.

Amy is a freelance photographer based out of Burlington, NC. She studied for two years at Elon University, taking classes in web design and publishing as well as photography. Her skills include:

- Familiarity with Mac and PC computers
- Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop as well as Picasa, Photoscape, Roxio Photosuite, among others.
- Knowledge of HTML/Adobe Flash as well as Dreamweaver and Serif Webplus 10
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel with the ability to enter information into spreadsheets
- Ability to multi-task, as well as work on a deadline.
- Familiarity with Internet business and marketing
- Working knowledge of Natural Horsemanship
- Familiarity with Clicker Training Methods for canine and equine subjects
- Experience in equine training—under saddle as well as groundwork, with emphasis on manners and establishing partnership through trust.
- Gave riding lessons as a teenager
- Creative writing skills – wrote first novel at 16, which was published in 2007
- Knowledge of 35mm film cameras, as well as dark room experience.

Amy only shoots with professional Nikon equipment, with a variety of zoom lenses suited for low light situations as well as long distance shooting. She knows that no camera's auto settings are perfect and most often shoots in Manual Mode in order to ensure the best quality photo.
